The conference will celebrate 30 years of the ISTR community and they look forward to hosting the first in-person international conference for researchers and practitioners in the third sector to reunite and learn from each other since 2018. The evolving pandemic offers the opportunity to reform institutions, reshape discourses, and rebuild trust and identities. The third sector once again plays a critical role in these processes and public discussions.
Location: Concordia University, John Molson School of Business, 1450 Guy Street, Montréal, Canada
Paid membership in ISTR is required to register for the conference. Please visit the ISTR Conference webpage for information regarding membership and conference registration fees.
The Montreal conference is planned as an in-person conference. A limited number of hybrid virtual presentations will be accommodated during the conference. All plenary sessions plus a number of sessions during each time slot will be available for virtual participation.
There will be 3 tiers of scheduling:
Tier 1: Papers, panels, posters, roundtables: participants in-person
Tier 2: Papers, panels, posters, roundtables: majority of in-person presenters plus some virtual presenters (Montreal time zone). We intend to try to accommodate as many virtual presenters during the main conference as resources allow.
Tier 3: All authors are virtual. Sessions that do not have any in-person participation and cannot be accommodated in hybrid format during the main conference will be scheduled as part of a virtual meeting July 26-27, 2022 (if needed).
